Course Overview

TWO CEOs went walking in the woods and came across an attacking grizzly bear. One stops to put on a pair of runners. The other asks: "Why are you doing that, we can't out run a grizzly!"  The reply: "I only need to out run you, not the bear."

This story is an example of competitive advantage in a nutshell. Would you remember this tomorrow? Could you repeat it in a month's time? Most importantly, does it help you understand competitive advantage? There are many stories you can tell, whether it be to communicate a vision, a change or just to engage people on a daily basis.

Stories can open windows into the cultural, political and emotional lives of organisations, allowing people to express deep and sometimes hidden emotions.

Story telling is a critical skill for engaging people in a vision and is often used to get key messages across.  When done in the correct manner, stories motivate, engage and inspire those around us

Target Audience

Story telling is applicable to anyone who needs to communicate organisational messages in a compelling manner.
